Framing Support for Interior Designers

Calm, specification-led framing for design-driven projects

I’m Paul Dunkerley, founder of Beyond Canvas Art & Framing, based in Nantwich.

Alongside private client work, I provide framing support to interior designers who want artwork and framing handled professionally, discreetly, and without disruption to the wider project.

Recent work includes successful collaborations with Clive Christian Interior Designs, supporting design-led schemes with considered framing, clear timelines, and dependable delivery. This page is here simply to outline how I work when supporting interior design projects.

How I Work With Interior Designers

Design projects require clarity, judgement, and reliability.

When supporting interior designers, I typically provide

Specification-led framing

  • Working from your brief, finishes, palettes, and proportions.

Material and finish guidance

  • Advice on mouldings, mount tones, glazing, and scale to support the wider scheme.

Discreet handling of client artwork

  • Including originals, limited editions, and sentimental pieces.

Clear lead times and honest constraints

  • No over-promising.

  • No last-minute surprises.

Calm problem-solving

  • Late changes, artwork swaps, and sizing issues handled pragmatically.

Single point of contact

  • You work directly with me throughout.

Capacity for Larger or Time-Critical Projects

In addition to the Nantwich showroom, I operate a dedicated offsite workshop and storage facility used specifically for:

  • large-format framing

  • multi-piece or volume projects

  • time-critical schedules

  • staging and sequencing for installation

This allows retail work and design-led projects to run in parallel, without competing for space or time. For designers, this means:

  • predictable delivery

  • reduced bottlenecks

  • greater flexibility when schedules compress

Where I fit best

I work most effectively with

I’m comfortable being involved:

  • boutique and independent interior design studios

  • residential and high-end domestic projects

  • designers who prefer to outsource framing rather than manage it in-house

  • projects where framing needs to support the design, not compete with it

  • early at specification stage, or

  • later when artwork and framing need resolving efficiently

What You Can Expect

Designers I work with value that I am:

  • low-ego

  • detail-led

  • calm under pressure

  • honest about constraints

  • protective of your client relationship

My role is to make framing disappear as a problem, not introduce another moving part.

Trade & Commercial Approach

Trade terms are agreed project by project

Pricing reflects specification, scale, and handling requirements

All costs and lead times are clear and consistent

If a project isn’t a good fit, I’ll say so early.

A Simple Next Step...

If framing support is something you currently outsource — or would prefer to — I’m happy to have a brief, informal conversation.

  • No obligation.

  • No sales deck

Just a coffee and a conversation about how you like to work.
